Walking softly beside the King
is honor I am sure
when one gets to heaven someday
seeing Him perfectly pure

this King of all the universe
His majesty divine
so regal in His appearance
the light from Him does shine

He knows each one who gave their all
who trusted in His word
believing on the name of Christ
has caused His heart to stir

with love that is immutable
when grace is shed on one
provided for eternally
by Jesus Christ the Son

it’s hard to imagine such bliss
being present there with Him
forever near His affection
where light shall never dim

a place where life teems with beauty
one family all with God
worshipping with praises of glory
on that celestial sod

a King so wonderful and kind
awaits His servants dear
forever close to His presence
He’ll always be that near
